Usual day and weekend travel to home in Bangalore via Train.
I prefer to always be early so started early from my flat to reach Kochuveli Station 30 Min's ahead of its departure. In Few Min's the train arrived. Saw the chart list of my compartment to ensure my name is there and then entered and sat in my reserved seat, While I waiting for the train to start, I
saw the TTR(the guy in black coat is the usual identification), the ticket examiner sitting opposite to me. I don't know if he noticed me entering the compartment also, he was busy with his work. He was separating the stapled papers, which were the
passengers list chart and placing it in right order with a carbon copy paper in
between.
Few Min's for the train to start and lot of people started coming in. As it was weekend there is always scarcity of tickets. So people try to ask TTR for extra/cancelled/confirming waiting tickets. Many passengers approached him asking for
clarifications, upgrading tickets or buying tickets. He addressed each one and
gave all the info they required. Best part is he didn't yell at anyone, he was
polite. Which is something that you seldom see when it comes to govt employees in general. Later he started checking everyone's tickets who were seated, the usual
TTR job. After checking he comes back to my compartment and starts calculating some
stuffs and updates some numbers and names in different papers.
It was 9PM , everyone ate and went to sleep but some don't sleep that early, like me. So I was watching movie on mobile. The TTR was sitting right in front of me so i could see his work. He was doing the same drill at all the major stations and slept for few hrs in between. If you are wondering why am i talking about this TTR so much, its cause of his appearance and actions.

To describe him, he was in his mid thirties wearing
a simple shirt with an over coat of TTR. Shoes were torn little but well
polished. He was using a mobile to calculate which was some basic model of
unknown brand and looked it has been used for few years because of the
scratches/damages on it. Once he had removed his wallet to check for change, I
noticed he had a pic of a kid in it and the wallet was damaged so much that you
can use only one of its compartments. but despite all this he still does his
job properly. I don't think many people will see what he is doing, Ya, if he was a rude and arrogant TTR then all would have noticed him but a good person, no one notices. People have misunderstood that good people are those who do good them. In reality good people are those who don't do anything bad for you.
Isn't it Ironic!!! the honest and sincere people often have a simple life though they work harder than other people. They might not be smart(cunning is the other way to describe smartness now a days), skilled, educated but still they are honest and sincere to their works. Bottom line is, there are always people around us who are good to us but we hardly notice them.
